RECENT:

Wisconsin Hospital Public Relations and Marketing Society of the
Wisconsin Hospital Association, Fall Educational Conference, September 13, 2007.

Session One:
Internal Communications: Recruitment, Retention and the Brand

During this session we will explore how companies use their Brand within their Internal Communications structure to advance both recruitment and retention strategies. Attendees will learn how to translate the organization's brand message into recruitment language, so that there is increased name recognition among applicants and positioning the organization to be the employer of choice in competitive markets; and, how to use the brand message to develop retention messages to create intangible, emotional associations.

Session Two:
Internal Communications: Relationships and the delivery of the Brand….How to make the staff, physicians and managers ambassadors of the brand
Your organization's brand is only as strong and believable as the experience your patients are having right now in the ED, on the phone with the billing office, or in the parking lot looking for a space. This session will begin to connect the marketing the brand dots with living the brand. Attendees will take away the supporting role internal
communications plays in setting the stage for messages that articulate the brand's aspirations and engage employees and physicians in the delivery.

Session Three: A workshop
Internal Communications: The hottest job in healthcare…Let's practice together
Attendees will spend some time taking their organization's brand message as it is today, and exploring the risks and opportunities associated with it. We will also look at customer service programs you are implementing and try to connect these two important initiatives.

We will identify some on brand key messages you can use and incorporate into your copy points for spokespersons, CEO's and newsletters. We will also incorporate how to re-write your messages for the web, using the brand message and bringing it to life in your copy points. We will identify some web rules to follow, and prepare you to be better contributors to your organization's website.
